gravitas
~ sky pressed by earth ~
When I began this work, I thought about the sky — I chose a blue ground with warm edges, like the horizon and the sun.
Then I layered salt again and again, letting heavy crusts form naturally and press down on the blue surface below. I only guide the process — the patterns are shaped by erosion, layering, and time.
For me, it became an inversion: the earth on top of the sky and gravity is the only law.
